The purpose of this guide is to show you how to change the default icon in OS X 10.5/4.

1. Open up a picture that you would like to use as a icon and select Copy. In this case I want to create a Windows XP icon for my VMware install.

2. Next right click on the file that you want to change the icon. Click Get Info.

Notice that the icon has a glowing aura around it now.

4. Now click Edit --> Paste
